Butterfly is a symbol of resurrection and immortality. Butterfly, over the course of its life, changes its shape more than once: a caterpillar hatches from an egg, it becomes pupa and only then - a butterfly. In ancient Greece both butterfly and soul were named with one word. In Japan and China, butterfly still remains a direct symbol of femininity, as well as, pleasures of life and elation. The ancient Romans believed that the butterflies were flowers which became alive and rose from their stem. In Japan a butterfly represents only what is best in human's life and to see a butterfly is a sign of happiness. Meanwhile, in the ancient India, legends say that the butterfly is a spirit that managed to reach heaven. God sent it back to earth to carry out the role of a postman.
